2002 Citroen Xsara accelerator

car driving well but as soon as i take my foot off the accelerator to slow down a little it seems to jerk as if its breaking sharply.

If it's stalling , could be idle control valve / stepper motor . If its missing / jerking , could be coil pack .

weve had new spark plugs and had the coil pack tested,which is fine.the mechanic also sprayed something into the carb which helped with the kangaroo jerking when setting off.but its still a little jumpy when taking my foot off the accelerator,it feels like ive breaked harshly when i havent even touched the break.

You don't have a carb. on your car . He may have squirted the throttle body which may need a good clean out if sticking .

OH RITE.WELL WHAT EVER HE DID IT SORTED THE PROBLEM WHEN SETTING OFF BUT NOT WHEN TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR.ANY IDEAS.
