Macky - at last! Its no help but I have exactly the same. I have sunroof (2002 Exclusive), they tell me its the drainage blocked somewhere but where?? But on mine the water pushes UP through the welds at the bottom of the parcel well behind the drivers seat, I reckon its a double skin under there and its coming into the space. The other one is fine.I managed to pull the liner out and the padding underneath so at least I can dry it out when it comes in. My dealer suggests drilling a hole in the floor but I want to stop it altogether, but no idea how its getting in (ie is it from the front or via the boot?? Hope we get an answer!!

Macky did you fix it yet?? If so let me know asap! Otherwise also see my reply to #6938, looks like he has same problem. I have been pouring jugs of water over the dry car to try and track the cause, I can't see any drains round the actual sunroof, but I can make the leak in the footwell happen by just pouring the water down the windscreen on the drivers side. It goes into the grill under the wiper. I reckon from there it drains down behind the front wheel. Most of it comes out there ok (as it should), but I reckon its partly blocked somewhere (leaves etc??) forcing water into the double skin somewhere behind the engine compartment/wheel arch, then it tracks back under the floor till it gets to the parcel well and can't go any further so then pushes up into the parcel well. I've ordered a workshop manual via amazon to search for any more clues before I start trying to unbolt anything. I don't know if there's any way of clearing it from the top, I will wait till I can get the wiper grill off (looks easy with plastic twist screws, but not sure how to get the wipers off yet!). I feel at least I've made a bit of progress even though the problem is still as bad. Will let you know when any more news.

Well, I took it back (again) to the dealer. They took out the wheel arch liner and windscreen wiper grill. They said they had a very good look and could see no place where the water could be getting in. In desperation I reckon, they put in a new Pollen Filter, perhaps something was trickling in there? Of course it hasn't rained hard since then (on South coast) so I have no idea if anything has improved. Will let you know.

No. It rained yesterday and back came the water. Took it back to dealer (again). They have no idea what to try next, suggested either sealing the parcel well floor with mastic which should ensure the parcel well stays dry so I can use it(though wherever the water is tracking in from will stay wet), or drilling a couple more holes in the skin to allow it to drain (though ditto the route in is still wet). My fear is of rust within a year or so esp at MOT - the dealer says if I get rust he will sort it out (even after a year or more!) - however of course I have nothing in writing to back this up later down the line. Unless we get a reply from someone who knows exactly what to do I reckon this may be as good as it gets.

I had this problem very recently. Underneath the car there is (or should be!) a rubber bung in the floor, beneath the parcel well. If the bung is missing you will be able to feel the felt lining of the parcel well by sticking your finger in the hole. Water enters that hole and soaks the parcel well. Replace the missing rubber bung. Job done!

is there a drain bung in front scuttle that is blocked causing water to run in through pollen filter
