2003 Citroen Xsara Picasso stop engine temperature

Variant: 2.0 hdi
Dose not blow hot air, the water temperature rising to maximum, and on the dash board it saying, STOP ENGINE TEMPERATURE.

is the cooling fan coming on,check the cooling system for leaks and check the thermostat is`nt sticking

If none of the above post , get head gasket checked with a block test .

cooling fan is comming on engine temp warning goes off its self after 10-15 mins
