failed test due to excessive smoke 9.990/m reading on test. how can i fix this problem car done only 42.000 miles carefully driven not hammered not burning oil at all visually no smoke at all, needs to be sorted for retest.

clean or remove air filter, place a tin of diesel magic in the fuel tank. get the engine up to temperature and give it a total bootfull up the road flat out 2nd gear for about 2 miles. give it a good clear out.. then retest while hot and it should pass, assuming there are no engine management problems.
