my car is losing power especially in lower gears but then it seems to clear and start pulling again until i change in to lower gears , also an orange light sometimes flashes up on dash ( not sure if these problems are related ) thanks

Coil pack can be a common cause of this , worth a check .

any idea how to check the coil pack ..thanks

Easiest way is to get a diagnostic scan and see what fault codes are shown .
