OVERHEATING TEMP GAUGE

MY PICASSO AS JUST STARTED COMING UP WITH THE SAME SORT OF PROBLEMS THAT U GUYS ARE EXPERIENCING WITH TEMP GAUGE GOING RIGHT UP TO TOP BAR AND MESSAGE COMING ON IN CAR OVERHEAT STOP CAR THEN ENGINE FAN COMES ON AND STAYS ON TILL CAR STOPS ANY BODY WITH IDEAS PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

possibly coolant thermistor fault.Remove the green electrical connnector and make sure it is dry.also make sure fans come in at low speed but be aware the thermostat may also be sticking.last of all make sure cooling system is not pressurising as this may indicate head gasket failure.

Hi,i have worked on Citroens for Autoworld for 7 years and its a common fault of the coolant temp sensor failing,there about £24 to replace.

I have changed both sensors and my temp gauge is still showing high.
