2004 Citroen Xsara Picasso washer jets work on rear window but not windscreen

Variant: 2.0 hdi
Just recently my windscreen washer jets do not spray water onto the windscreen to clean the screen but jet does work on the rear window this as you can appreciate causes problems when driving in bright sunlight or at night with cars coming towards you with lights on having a dirty windscreen I have checked the washer bottle and all appears OK, residues of water do come out of windscreen washer jets when operated but do not spray water onto the screen.

Usually a filter / gauze on water pump that gets choked up with soap / crud , needs removing and cleaning . Could also check water hoses for any non return valve or T piece in line that could be partially blocked
