Just a guess , key fob battery low ? Car battery low ?

I know battery is sound. Never thought about key fob...how do I change battery please?
Answered Feb 9, 2018 (6 years ago)
Thinking about it , if key fob battery it would probably be constant not intermittent . You say car battery sound , have you had it tested ? If low it could drop further due to useage / conditions and then get boosted up by alternator on driving , possibly explaining not always doing it .Again just guesses as cant find codes for beeping / dinging . .

Annoying not finding solution . Could check washer , coolant levels are o.k , all doors fully closed and low fuel level ?

According to the manual it makes a buzz sound when central locking battery is fading. It also says a warning appears. It's never given me a visual warning other than for ice. Think I may try replacing battery.

I've changed the fob battery and it's showing economy mode active. Any idea what that means?....

The vehicle battery charge is low so the bsi starts load shedding to preserve battery power for starting

Suggested low battery in first reply but was told o.k .As above reply , non essentials are off to save the limited battery power to keep car running .Battery needs charging or replacing .Might be worth testing alternator output , simple job with meter .

Was told all was ok but will go to a different garage to have it 're tested. Warning has stopped after driving. Will keep you informed. Thank you!

When you drive the car the alternator will boost the battery up, negating the eco mode . The battery needs to be LOAD tested .If all o.k on testing and no weak cells probably just needing put on a charge for a few hours or overnight .

I had battery tested and changed fob batteries. All to no avail - still does it. Garage said if there's no warning showing just ignore...still drives me mad lol
