Car will only start with spare key engine fault light on broke down and AA said fuel wasn't getting threw is fuel pump no good or is it electronical

Yes will only start with spare key it's a 2005 petrol pacasso xara engine size 1.6

Reprogram the key that doesn't work .Get it scanned for fault codes .

Probably not
As suggested get key re programed and it needs scanned to find out why the EML is on.
