About to be sent to the Scrappy

I am pulling my hair out at this one!
Car was driving fine during the day, drove a 40 mile journey in the day fine, short journey at 8pm fine. Got back in the car at 12pm, started the car to "ENGINE FAULT" and the 3 pings. Managed to get the car home in serious limp mode.

No EML, now no dashboard message and the car will turn over but wont start!

There are no codes reported. No warning Message. Fuel Pump works and there is pressure at the Injector Rail bleed nipple. ECU connections are all clean with no water or gunk/rust. Battery is fully charged. Coil pack has been changed.

I am at a loss at to where to go now.

If anyone has an idea of where to look next please let me know before it gets stripped and crushed.

You can't fix modern cars without diagnostics,
All your doing is throwing cash away.
From your description it could be anything.
Assuming it has a spark and the tacho is registering something on crank,
Without diagnostics all I can suggest you try is disconnecting the coolant temperature sensor.
The ECU will register this and substitute a value for the lost signal.
Might start if the CTS "IS" where the fault lies.
But it needs scanned.

Just a long shot but worth a try .Try disconnecting the battery both terminals for 15 mins then reconnect positive first see if that sorts it it may reset ecu.

it sounds like you have lost engine speed signal
