Fuel gauge level registered one bar.Put in £20 petrol Level only went up to two bars..where as normally the capacity should read 3 or 4 bars?

Sensors in the tank so I'd suggest filling it right up and see if the gauge moves up.
Alternative is find someone with Cit Lexia diagnostics.
That has a function to drive the gauge from a laptop.

Like previous responder states , filling the tank up often clears and resets tank unit .

I did 200 miles with tank full.
Topped it up to shutoff on nozzle,it still showed what it had dropped to previously,and according to anothrr forum,!,Will NOT RESET TILL IT REACHES THE LEVEL AT WHICH I TOPPED IT UP,Another 200 miles.???.
Apparently they are designed this way..
