2000 Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.9
Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.9
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Drove my car over 50 miles stopped parked it up 2 says later went out car is turning over but won't start. Never had any problems like this before. I have had two diagnostic kits and both have been unable to connect with the car so can't get any faults. Car has fuel and normal function of radio and wipers etc. Had fuses, battery and imobiliser checked all fine. Not sure what it is I'm a single mum and desperate to get my car back on the road how would I know if it was the ecu?

!.9 so probably diesel yes?
Rev counter fitted?
Does it register when cranking?
Diesels need minimum of 180 RPM.
No rev counter reading would mean Crank angle sensor failure so no start.
So check if the rev counter moves when cranking and repost.

Checked and it's cranking over. There is no EML and no power going through the ECU. Any suggestions as to what could cause this

Check for power and ground at the ECU.
And chase it back if not but it sounds like a job for an autospark.

it sounds like the double relay has failed if no power to the ecu
