having trouble with the windscreen washers not working, we replaced the pump and checked fuses and also pipes to no avail, when pulling the stalk there is no noise coming from the pump at all..also noticed that when starting the engine up the battery light is on I can get rid of this by revving the engine a little and it will go off. but if I leave the battery light on the indicators and light will not work. if anyone has any ideas on this it will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Put a test lamp on plug at washer pump and test for power .If no power and fuse o.k , case of tracing back and could be faulty stalk . The battery light may be a faulty alternator , test output with meter . Could also be wiring fault , worth checking out also all earths .
