Headlights/Indicators

2007 Citroen Xsara Picasso
Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Year: 2007
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
When I start the car the headlights switch themselves on by themselves even though they are in the off position. When this happens the indicators do not work! However when I manually put either the side lights or main beam on the indicators start working again!
Any ideas please?

Find someone with Citroen Lexia diagnostics.
this system lets me command various functions including lights/indicators.
That way all the electrics can be checked including the BODY SYSTEMS INTERFACE ecu that controls every electric function.
Without a Lexia scan on the full car systems your going to have to guess where the fault is.
And that can lead to many new parts that you might not even need.
There's usually a diagnostic specialist local to most people so try "YELL".
You want a Citroen Global scan run.
