2005 Citroen Xsara Picasso air con playing up

Hi I have noticed in the last few days that when the climate control is on the temp within the car goes up and down it is as if it works some times and not others i checked it with a temp prob and found that the air vents on the dash were warmer on right than the left
can anyone help ?

Sounds like an issue with whatever controls the air flap or reading the inside temperature. As for one side warmer than the other I'm not sure. not a picasso expert hope someone else can input a little more for you
