2003 Citroen Xsara Picasso speedo reading

I have two lines on my speedo reading like this -- and nothing is happening when I drive the car can anyone help ???

Firstly I would suggest the speedo connection.
On this I would think either an electronic switch where the old fashioned speedo cable would go or there will be a wheel speed sensor on o e front wheel. It should look like an abs connection but hidden right behind the front hub.
It should throw a fault code tho if the sensor is at fault so maybe its the dash.

I think its an issue on the multiplexing network...do you also have an abs light on.Vehicle speed can be taken from a transducer in the gearbox or from abs via wheel speed sensors.

almost the same but you missed the multiplexed bit.i was merely looking for a bit more feed back.
