hi my rearview mirror has come of the ball and left the housing bracket on the windscreen i have tried to slide it off but dont want to risk cracking the windscreen how can i get the housing off thanks

You don,t get it off as it,s bonded to the glass ,you can refitt the mirror by pushing it back on the ball.

On that car it normally means a new mirror .The mirror slides UPWARDS onto the windscreen mount to replace if I can remember correctly .If in doubt or nor confident , call into a local windscreen fitting centre and they will advise or fit , usually foc as they do many of them .

thanks for your reply i have tried to push the mirror back on. that is impossible i have a new mirror to put on so is there any way to remove the housing and leave the windscreen base to the windscreen thanks

a short sharp knock downwards normally does the trick
