2000 Citroen Xsara Picasso water leak? tempreture rising

i've had to top up my water recently and it seems everyday now as i've noticed a leak but cant seem to pinpoint where its coming from,also the temp lights gone up to 3 lights when it is usually on 2 is there a problem with my thermostat? any advice would be great thanks.

Get a pressure test on cooling system and that should show any external leaks .

The temp gauge will rise due to the water loss .Check round about water pump area for signs of water leaking .

On that year you probably are overdue a cambelt replacement if not already done . If it is the pump leaking it may be hard to see with the timing cover in place .If pump , replace with cambelt kit at same time and asap .But try and find for definite where leak is coming from first .
