Engine Fault

2003 Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 Petrol
Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.6 Petrol
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have a Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 petrol from 2003 that has a strange engine fault problem.

The first time I start the car on any particular day; this can be in the morning, afternoon or evening it doesn't matter, if I start the car and don't drive away within 10 seconds or rev the engine and just allow the engine to run idle, after about 10 to 15 seconds the engine will start vibrating and then engine fault will get displayed on the dashboard.

If I rev the engine a lot or pull away and start driving the car the engine fault warning goes away.

This only happens the very first time I start the car on any given day and will not do it again later. The engine fault also doesn't come on at all If I start the engine and then drive away within 10 seconds.

The car has been serviced regularly.

Thanks
