2000 Citroen Xsara Picasso dead display

Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.5 Diesel
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Only had the car 2 weeks - and like it very much

But

The car has a display panel showing the heater settings on a small screen just above the radio.

Started car yesterday morning and display screen never lit up.

So I can't see how the heat is distributed or fan setting or anything else.

All the stuff - heater and distribution work - just can't see it or set it as I need.

Help!

Check your manual you may have a switch off option if not then first check fuses if ok then power &earth to unit .

I have a 2005 C3 with exactly the same problem....

I bought the car and 6 weeks later the centre display simply didn't work any more... one day perfect, the next 'black & blank' with no sign of life at all...

I would be very grateful for any hints as I can't find any info anywhere and I'd be surprised if the display is broken as there were no symptoms beforehand... so I'm hoping it's a bad connection or odd fuse etc.. but where to look?
