Hi fairly recently brought a Picasso and it is hesitating under load or when accelerating hard. it also intermittently hunts.. i think that the two are linked i have had it plugged in to a computer and the only fault it came up with was the idle control valve this has been changed and has not helped. has anyone else came across these problems?

Could try cleaning MAF(mass air flow valae}if it has one it would be mounter on the air inlet manifold and check for any air leaks at or around the inlet manifold and also vacuum /breather hoses for any splits or leaks

can i ask how much the idle valve cost please cos i seem to be having same sort of problem many thanks

I Have just bought a Citroen Xsara Picasso 2002 model and am really enjoying it except for the fact that it all too often "hesitates" as I accelerate. This is sometimes dangerous because it gets close to stallng while I'm either in an intersection or moving off from a traffic light/stop street.
My garage cannot help and I've used different fuel cleaner additives without success.
