2002 Citroen Xsara Picasso both rear indicator lights not working in indication mode

Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Year: 2002
Variant: 2.0 HDI
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
When indicating left or right, the front indicators work albeit at a faster flash rate, yet both left or right rear indicators do not work. The strange thing is that they work when the hazard switch is activated, and they also work when locking and unlocking the car. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This could be down to how they are wired up and that the wiring for your rear indicators is faulty. In other words front and rear indicators are not wired up together as they are with use of hazard lights and locking. Cars do vary in how they are wired with certain functions.
