Nearside door mirror

I need to get inside the nearside door mirror in order to access the internal wiring,so far I have removed the top cover of the mirror which gives a very limited access,however I notice that there is a panel on the bottom of the mirror and wonder if I can gain access through this panel.Any help on how to get inside the mirror would be much appreciated.thank you.

if your feeling brave the glass is only clipped in but normally requires a bit of prising to get out but there is wiring to be found behind it
