Rear fog lamp warning comes on when footbrake applied

2001 Citroen Xsara Picasso
Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Year: 2001

When I apply the footbrake, the warning light for the rear fog lamp comes on on the dash. If I have the indicators going, they go at double speed while the footbrake is on. I can't find anything about this in the handbook.

Yeah, thanks for that. I took the rear lights out, checked all bulbs - fine - but couldn't find any earthing points. The guy at Chevron in Worcester said they are ten mil bolts behind the rear lights : not in mine, they ain't. But I tugged both bundles of wires, and although the warning light still comes on, the indicator doesn't go at double speed any more. Please tell me where the connections might be ? Thanks.
