2000 Citroen Xantia whree exactly is the heater resistor control below the dash

the rheostatic heater slide control is not working at all and the heater is going full tilt the whole time i`m led to believe it may be the heater blower resistor control , i need to know where is it and how hard is it to change

yes it does sound like the reastat, normally easy to do and probably located under dash at passenger side

i have found out that my car is a mark2 xantia and am led to believe it has no rheostatic controller does anyone know if it is true ?
