2000 Citroen Xantia boot locked shut

Car: Citroen Xantia
Year: 2000
Variant: Forte HDI
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The central locking system fails to open the boot, thus pressing the button to open the boot has no effect. There is no manual lock so how do I open the boot? My GUESS is that this is an electrical problem.

My guess is your right.
All I can suggest is you remove the door inner trim panel and root around inside for the servo.

Don't know if you can get into the boot on that car through the back seats and remove boot trim to manually open .Then you can check for fault which could be anything from boot lock , water in lock , faulty wiring etc .
