2000 Citroen Xantia hard ride due to ecu error

Car: Citroen Xantia
Year: 2000
Variant: SX 1.8i 16valve
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
spheres and lhm oil renewed but the ride is still firm. It has been to the main dealer and put on there computer to find the error.
It could not connect to suspension ecu but the rest of the ecu was ok with no errors.

What i need to know is this ecu part of the main ecu or is it hidden away some where and could the fault be bad wiring or a simple fix.
If anyone else has had this fault maybe you could help.

first thing i would check are the fuses. i would imagine the suspension ecu is seperate from the others.it may be a wiring fault but sometimes just disconnecting them wake things up.Have you tried letting systems shut down and disconnecting the battery for a while. Make sure you follow the correct procedurefor disconnecting/connecting battery.

I have removed the battery as main dealer told me to while it was off car for more then 2 days while i was looking over wiring and earth plate behind battery(nothing found). The ECU is in default mode(hard ride) this is due to ecu error or a power failure to ecu(fuse are all good & power at them also).
Next i will take ecu plug off and have a look there.I have a bad feeling that the ecu is the issue but i could be wrong.

Main dealer has no clue to where the suspension ecu is on the car, in fact they was most useless. Young staff with no experience with the older model cars he looked at it like it was from outer space or something.

citroen main dealer got this wrong when they fault tested the car for ecu fault.
This model does not have a ecu fitted on it this is why they could not connect to it. I found this out by looking on ebay for a ecu reader and came across a fit box that wires in at the ecu. This post on ebay had detail photo's showing location of ecu next to main engine ecu. So out side i go oped ecu box to see if it was there. No it was not there or any wiring for it the mounting bolts was there nothing had been fitted to them tho. I am still awaiting for Citroen main dealer to return my money for a false test of ecu, if they was doing there job right they would of looked there first to check wiring and to make sure it had one to begin with, other things that would say it had one is in side the car select switches for ride heights. If this helps anyone else here is the link for the repair kit.
