1995 Citroen Synergie speedo milometer

Hi just wondered if any-body may have an idea what is wrong. The speedo and milometer are not registering on my car. The revs and other fuel indicator etc all work. Does this sound like a very expensive problem? Thanks for reading.

i have exactly the same problem.... 1st question ..... is the speedo electrical senor or cable... if its electrical it will cost a bit....
