2000 Citroen Saxo loud wining sound on start

Car: Citroen Saxo
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.6 VTR
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When i start my car after it has been sitting for a while, this could be for 20mins or over night when i turn the car on there is a loud wining/squealing sound coming from the engine bay somewhere. When i rev or hold the car on revs it goes away and after driving for a little bit the noise starts to fade and eventually stops. Does anyone know what this could be or have experienced the same thing?
