1997 Citroen Saxo problem with rev and accelerator

Hi I went to drive my car this morning and the rev's are going up really quickly but the acceleration is really slow, when I change gear the car slows down. What do you think this could be, and how much would it cost to fix it? Thanks Aaron

get some carb and injector aerosol cleaner spray this in to the inlet manifold via the airfilter and this will clean any carbon deposits in the inlet and your car shold run like a dream again
