my girlfriend has just topped the oil up on her car and the car has started to overheat after about 15 mile.
I checked the oil and she has put too much in would this cause the over heating???

Logical route would be to drain the oil and refill to the correct level and see if its still over heating. Can't see how this would have caused it to over heat but who knows. They do suffer head gasket problems around 50.000 miles and onwards.
