Well it does depend how competant you are with mechanics and the tools you have at hand, lets just say its not an easy job

it would probably be more cost effective to get a recon axle. replacing the bearings can be a bit of a tough job(due to corrosion/seized screws etc) and normally find tube is worn anyway.
