2017 Citroen DS5 adblue tank faulty , warning lights

Warning lights appeared on the dash indicating fault within AdBlue emissions system, car given 700 miles before complete shutdown
This is a known problem but DS are trying to get out of all responsibility due to the fact we have an independent warranty
They insist it is not a safety issue and therefore does not require a recall but the car will not pass its MOT because it is deemed a safety issue by the Ministry of Transport
Anyone else have this problem ?

Wouldn't think it was a recall issue either , likewise it would fail the MOT for emissions not safety issue .Cant argue with them on that I'm afraid , very common with lots diesels , never liked them
