2006 Citroen C8 car not starting

Car: Citroen C8
Year: 2006
Variant: 2.2 exclusive
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
For the last six months we have been having intermitten anti-pollution fault, car has been fine for nearly 3 weeks(that's good), but then my husband went to start the car up on saturday morning, and it started ok but after 5mins stopped and hasn't really started again. You can turn it over but it stops almost imediately.

Any ideas????

As you have been having problems for a few months and getting warning lights , best bet is to get a diagnostic scan carried out .

Bit late in the day for answers on this one but I thought I would share my experience of this fault.

1. Car not starting. Faulty Key. Despite dealership reprogramming fault remained. I continue to use the spare key.
2. Car not starting after heavy (fast) use or very hot day. Temp. gauge will fluctuate around the norm but when you stop the car, it will not start again. Two garages could not tell me why but the result of the problem is the starter motor fuse blows (20amp). I now carry spares.

If anyone can feedback it would be appreciated.
