2003 Citroen C8 grey smoke from exhaust smells oiley

Hi i have recently purchased a citreon C8 which has started smoking a grey blue smoke which smells like it is busning oil, the car starts and runs fine and the engine sounds sweet and not missing and seems to have plenty of power. Just wondering what it could be and if its a simple fix or something more serious?

Maybe just requires the egr and throttle intake system cleaned out.

If it stops after starting it sounds like the valve guide oil seals are leaking a bit of oil overnight. If it is all the time it could be an egr valve problem or a turbo oil leak if it is a diesel.

Thanks for the advice, it is smoking all the time but it is alot worse when it has been in slow traffic or idling for a while once its up to 60/70mph you cant tell the same because its burning it off, if it was an egr valve problem would it not effect the power because that all seems fine? It seems alot worse when cold too the extent of not been able to see anything behind you.

Sounds like valve stem oil seals / stems worn . Gets worse if engine idles at lights etc . usually plume of blue smoke on pulling away .
