Wiper arms

2008 Citroen C5
Car: Citroen C5
Year: 2008
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Nearside wiper arm has gone to the vertical position and no longer moves. If I start the engine and flip the lever, the arm sometimes drops in stages. Turn off and restart and the arm returns to vertical. Offside appears to work as normal. Any clues please

Nothing wrong with the tightness of the arm. What happened was, I turned off the engine but left the operating lever in the intermediate position. Whereby both wipers went to vertical position. When I turn the ignition on they normally return to the rest position, only this time hit the offside went to rest. If I flip the switch up and down, the arms drops down in stages to rest. Though not every time. When I start the engine again the arm goes right back to vertical. I still have use of the driver wiper. Hope this explains it better.
