2009 Citroen C5 automatic gearbox will not change into 5th

I have an a problem with the autobox, it does not always want to change up into 5th gear.
I can push the gear leaver into the manual position and make it change up. The car has only done about 35000 miles. I suspect it may be an electrical connection problem, but how you access them without taking all the interior apart, I would like some advice.

The electrical connections are at the gear box,but I would advise diagnostics for codes as messing with the connections will log codes and you could hamper the actual diagnostic process by logging ghost codes that were not there with actual concern.
