Auto Gear box block
2002 Citroen C5 1.8 Auto

I have this problem and on my car I had to remove the centre console and found that a shift position holder is the problem. It is a small plastic cylinder with a ball bearing on the top, when I removed the part I found that a small lug that holds the cylinder in place was broken. I have enquired about buying the small part but have been told I have to buy the complete gear shift at about $200-300 will post again when I find a better solution to this problem.
