I have just bought a replacement CL15 alternator but the new one has a 2 pin connector on it rather than a single wire. Can I still use it and if so how do I connect the 2 pins up ? I cannot seem to find any wiring diagrams to check this.

my alternator heats up and a lot of smoke comes from it while iddling
