2004 Citroen C5 both key fobs stopped working together

I have a C5 with two key fob remotes which have three buttons for open, close and lock and headlights on off. Both fobs have stopped working together and only the key will unlock and lock the vehicle. Has anyone had this problem. Don't think it is fob batteries.

put the key in the ignition turn on engine and press one of the buttons on the fob for 30 seconds this fixed mine.
