I have a problem with this van. i can be driving along normally, when suddenly it goes into "limp mode". the radiator fan comes on & stays on and the engine won't rev above 3000 revs. sometimes if i disconnect the battery for a few minutes it seems ok, but after a few minutes it goes again! can anyone help please !!!!

Sure it's not overheating if fan cutting in ? Coolant level o.k ?

the reason the fan is on all the time is because the relay for the fan was corroded, so my son's mate who is a mechanic has earthed it for the time being, so it is on all the time. the problem is it will run ok for a while, then go into 'limp mode'. if you disconnect battery for 5 minutes it will run ok for a while, but then does it again after a short time.
