Stereo wiring and remote locking

2001 Citroen Berlingo 1.9 forte multispace
Car: Citroen Berlingo
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.9 forte multispace
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When I bought this car I put in my stereo, when it was fitted it did not hold any programmed stations, time or anything to do with the memory. I was told to swap the poss and neg leads over which I did. It now holds its memory but comes on as soon as you open the drivers door and does not instantly switch off when turning ignition off. Also is this anything to do with the battery in my key fob shorting out all the time. I have put 3 in this week just to make sure it is the battery ( nothing else takes this size of battery so cant test them) Can anyone help please. I have got the haynes manual but this sort of thing is not covered

I'm not an auto electrician but will try to help . First of all I would check where you are getting the feed (power supply)from if you say it comes on when door opened . The other point is whether you damaged set when as you say the positive / negative wires were fitted wrongly ?
