2014 Citroen Berlingo not able to unlock petrol cap, key will only go half in. now also can't unlock doors with keys.

The electronic key works opening doors but petrol cap is manual. Key will not work in petrol cap will only insert part of way & not turn. This is also the case now with all the door locks except driver's door that opens occasionally!!
This happened about 3 years ago & all locks were replaced including petrol cap, it has now happened again! Surely keys / locks should work for more than a few years. Is replacing all the locks again the only option?

Try soaking the key barrel with WD 40 using the tube and working the key in / out . It is a common fault , see here

Thanks for the response & I have tried the WD40 option with no luck! The key just wont go more than half way in the locks. (the petrol cap works ok when the key goes in!)
