Turns and fire's but wont start,.

If set up correctly , check you are getting fuel at injectors . Try some easy start fluid and if it runs on that , fuel problem .

Yes, checked fuel as well and sprayde a s-load of easy start in to it with absolutely no effect at al... Found out eventually what problem was. Camshaft loubs for the inlet valves had been pushed out of loube center meaning inlet valves was opening / closing earlier then expected..... First time this has ever happened to me during my 30 years as a mechanic, a true french quality car....

Never heard of that problem you describe with camshaft lobes ever happening in any car .

I've seen this before on later models of Audi / Vw 's 1.8 -2.0 tfsi engines from 2005, they also used pressfitted lobs on a machined axel. What really made me confused was that the tappets wasn't damaged at all in any way and those i think should go first...
