Good to drive, comfortable, economic (though not as good as Citroen claim!), and huge for us self building our house. Nearly as good a builders van as my '89 CX Safari DTR turbo 2, which with my 4 wheel trailer had a legal carrying capacity of 1.6 tons. It's been reliable apart from this recent annoying radio shut down/ reboot problem. BUT .......... I have to say I am really disappointed with the terrible jolty front suspension of this XTR Berlingo. having owned and enjoyed the supreme comfort of Peugeot 404, 504, 305, Citroen DS, GS, CX (255,000 miles in this one), C15, ZX, XM, series 1 Berlingo, I'm bound to ask what this manufacturer was thinking of, with their fantastic history of world famous suspension systems when they designed this XTR Berlingo? The ride on our awful UK roads is............. AWFUL.
PS ....... rear tyre wear is excessive too, 10,000 miles if you're lucky, but I know the cause now ........ Camber angle when empty causes outer edge tyre wear. Because it's basically a van in design, it needs a load to correct the camber angle. The solution (I hope)......... over inflate rear tyres to 50 - 55 psi. I'll report back after 10,000 miles.
