Wipers and headlights coming on when stationary

about 3 in the morning,woke up to find the headlights on and wipers going whist parked up out side. smell of burning when opening the van. on opening the van the lights switched off and the wipers stopped

Any smell of burning really needs checked out ASAP with an auto electrician / garage in case further serious damage ensues .

All booked in for next thursday,strange that it happened all of a sudden. We have had the van three years and never had a problem like this before. Just wondering what t may be. thank you for your reply
