Water blowing out radiator

1999 Citroen Berlingo 1800
Car: Citroen Berlingo
Year: 1999
Variant: 1800

Hi, my friend has a Berlingo that when he tries to start it, the battery struggles, then water blows out the radiator. Is this possibly a water pump problem or cylinder head problem ? Any temporary fixes would be appreciated so he can get it home to fix properly as the car has been left at his work, thanks

sounds like a blown head gasket or cracked cylender head it may have water seeping into the bores which would exsplain the strugling to start would not recomend driving it but putting in a bottle of k-seal may give you enough of a temp repair to get home and investigate further check for water in the oil and vice versa

check radiator for leaks and also the radiator cap, is the water blowing out of the radiator cap, if radiator is leaking then Rad Weld can sort out the prob;lem temporarily to take him home.
