2007 Citroen Berlingo misfire

Car: Citroen Berlingo
Year: 2007
Variant: 1.6 HDi Enterprise Van
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I have an occasional misfire which can vary in intensity from a slight jolt to the feeling that you've momentarily slammed the brakes on. Can happen several times in a row or just the once, then may not happen for a couple of days. Doesn't follow any set pattern, can happen hot or cold, whilst accelerating or driving steadily. Installed new fuel and air filters, but no difference. Engine runs well, pulls well, turbo OK, doing about 45 mpg, so this has got me stumped. If anyone can help, I'd be really grateful.

could try an injector cleaner , check injectors are all ok and not leaking , sounds like fuel , extreme possiblity which i have experienced is there is something in the fuel tank which occassionally when your fuel is at a certain level effects the fuel pick up

Same Van, enterprise 92BHP, exact same problem. Happens about every 400 miles. Very sharp misfire depending on amount of power applied. A mechanic friend suggested the diesel particle filter. I believe these are not used on the 92bhp model though.
