Horn not working

the horn only works when van is off and key completely removed from the ignition. it also works when the van is running with side lights on but not when headlights are on or no lights. sometimes out of the blue it works as normal. any solutions?

sounds like you have a problem with connection behind the steering wheel. poss airbag squib. you need to take it to a garage. as dealing with airbags is very dangerous do not prob unknow wires
