2006 Chevrolet Tacuma engine revs don't drop when changing gear

Car: Chevrolet Tacuma
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.6 petrol
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi everyone
I've recently bought the tacuma with failed head gasket.
after rebuild I have only 1 problem, which is that the revs dont drop when changing gear.
All is fine when stationary, you can rev the engine and it returns to idle as it should.
I'm wondering if there might be a vehicle speed sensor fault. Although there are no trouble codes stored.
Anybody got any ideas?
cheers
Stuart

Many thanks, I had suspected throttle body, but needed it confirmed.
Thanks again, I'll let you know how I get on.
